TrumpTV.com domain in 2004 says he would sell it to The Donald for $3million

'I totally forgot I owned it': Hollywood entrepreneur who paid $10 for the TrumpTV.com domain in 2004 says he would sell it to The Donald for $3million

If Trump wants the domain for his network, Escovar says he will demand $3million
In 2004, Fernando Escovar, a Hollywood entrepreneur, paid a measly $10 to create the web domain TrumpTV.com.

Little did he know then that his choice for a URL, which was originally intended to be a site devoted to card games, may net him millions of dollars over a decade later.

'Trump is a term used in Bridge,' Escovar said. 'I wasn't even thinking of Donald Trump.'

Escovar is in line to rake in significant sums of money if Trump follows through on plans to create his own political news network following the election, TheWrap reported.

The businessman, who owns a number of entertainment web sites, including FabTV.com, told the site that he would agree to part ways with the domain name for a cool $3million.

'I totally forgot I owned it,' Escovar told TheWrap. 'Then, all of a sudden, traffic began to go crazy and I realized what was going on.'

Escovar, who has met Trump on numerous occasions at Hollywood events, is a known photographer in Tinseltown.

He has been seen in the company of A-list actors and celebrities, including Ben Kingsley and Marlon Wayans.

Trump, the Republican nominee for president, is locked in what many believe to be a losing battle for the White House against Democrat Hillary Clinton.

Speculation has been rampant that if Trump loses on November 8, he and his inner circle of advisers will begin moving forward with plans to form a news network that would seek to upend Fox News Channel as the leading cable television address in conservative politics.

Trump said Tuesday he has no interest in a 'Trump TV' media venture should he lose the election, a notion that has persisted this week after a television-like alternative to the network nightly news programs began streaming on his Facebook page.

The inaugural 'Live From Trump Tower,' an online program hosted by Trump campaign surrogates Boris Epshteyn and Cliff Sims, directly competed Monday with the ABC, CBS and NBC national newscasts and their increasingly gloomy assessments of the Republican presidential candidate's chances of winning the upcoming election.

Trump (seen here during a campaign rally on Tuesday in Sanford, Florida) denied rumors that he is planning to launch a media venture to compete with Fox News Channel after the election

The program, expected to air eight more times before the election, is collaboration between the campaign and a fledgling company that has been streaming Trump's campaign rallies online for more than a year.

Some see it as a precursor to a future Trump media company, although the candidate threw cold water on the idea in an interview with Cincinnati WLW radio interviewer Scott Sloan.

'I have no interest in Trump TV,' Trump said.

'I hear it all over the place. You know, I have a tremendous fan base. We have the most incredible people. But I just don't have any interest in that. I have one interest, that's on November 8th.'

Fox News Channel has had a complicated relationship with Trump and his supporters. One of them, Newt Gingrich (right) engaged in a heated argument on air with host Megyn Kelly (left)

The Trump TV possibility was fueled earlier this month by a report in The Financial Times that Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, had a conversation about it with a friend at an investment bank that specializes in media deals.

Trump's campaign is being run now be Stephen Bannon, who was head of the conservative Breitbart News operation.

For all his current poll troubles, Trump is a proven ratings magnet: two of the three most-watched presidential debates ever were between him and Clinton.

Trump and his supporters have had a complicated relationship with Fox News Channel, long the favorite network for conservative viewers.

On Tuesday night, Trump surrogate Newt Gingrich went on Megyn Kelly's nightly show and accused her of being 'fascinated with sex.'

Kelly had asked Gingrich a question about Trump's past, which several women say include instances of groping, harassment, and unwanted sexual advances.

Gingrich was appearing on The Kelly File to discuss the state of the race on Tuesday and became visibly annoyed early on in the segment when Kelly brought up the fact that Trump's numbers are so low that some polls are predicting that Republicans could lose their majority in the Senate.
